The management of Abia State University (ABSU) has officially announced the commencement of the Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2023/2024 academic session. Prospective candidates are urged to carefully review the details below, including eligibility criteria, screening dates, and the registration procedure.
Day 1: Wednesday, 16th August 2023

- Faculty of Physical Sciences
- College of Medicine Faculty of Health Sciences
- Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Day 2: Thursday, 17th August 2023
- Faculty of Law
- Faculty of Agriculture
- Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences
- Faculty of Social Sciences
Day 3: Friday, 18th August 2023
- Faculty of Education
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Environmental Studies
- Faculty of Humanities
Venue: All screening exercises, including Law and Agriculture, will take place at the main campus in Uturu, starting at 10:00 am each day.
Candidates eligible for the screening exercise include:
- Those who selected Abia State University as their 1st or 2nd Choice.
- Candidates who did not initially choose the University in the UTME but wish to change to ABSU.
- UTME candidates with a score of 140 and above.
- Candidates with the required five O’level credit passes as per University entry requirements (uploadable at the JAMB portal).
- All Direct Entry Candidates.
To participate in the screening exercise, candidates must follow the registration procedure outlined below:
- Log on to the official ABSU website: www.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng
- Make an e-payment of two thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only. This can be done at any of the following Banks:
- ABSU Micro-Finance Bank, Uturu
- Eco Bank Plc
- Zenith Bank Plc
- Fidelity Bank Plc
- Union Bank Plc
- UBA Plc
