Are you passionate about pursuing a career in medical sciences? The University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, is inviting qualified candidates to apply for its Pre-Degree Programme for the academic session starting from December 2023 to August 2024. This intensive program aims to prepare candidates for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)/Post-UTME and eventual admission into the 100-level degree program of UNIMED and other universities of their choice.
To be eligible for the Pre-Degree Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Credit passes in at least five subjects, including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at SSCE/GCE/NECO, not more than two sittings.
- For Medicine and Dentistry, only one sitting is required.
Candidates meeting these requirements will be admitted into the Pre-degree programme.
The Pre-Degree Programme will cover the following subjects:
- English Language
Qualification for 100 Level Admission into UNIMED:
After completing the Pre-Degree Programme, candidates are expected to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and achieve the minimum cut-off mark for University admission. They must also pass the first and second semesters examinations with good grades. Successful candidates will be eligible for allocation to 100 Level Courses in various Faculties/Departments, including Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and more.
Interested candidates can apply online by following these steps:
- Visit the University website: www.unimed.edu.ng
- Click on “Students.”
- Select “PRE-DEGREE” to access the Pre-Degree Portal.
- Make the payment of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000) online using VISA or MASTER Card. Note that VERVE Card is NOT accepted.
- After successful payment, note the Application Form Number and print the Payment Receipt.
- On the PRE-DEGREE PORTAL, click on “APPLICATION FORM/LOG IN” with the generated PRE-DEGREE Application Form Number and Payment Transaction ID to complete the application form.
The application deadline is six weeks from the date of this publication.
