The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has officially invited candidates who selected the institution as their first choice in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) to participate in the upcoming Post-UTME Screening Exercise for admissions. Prospective candidates can commence their application process from September 1, 2023, with the deadline set for September 30, 2023.
- UTME candidates must have obtained a minimum score of 160 in their UTME.
- Direct Entry candidates are required to hold OND/HND/First Degree and A‘Level qualifications in relevant disciplines and subjects.
To apply for the FUTO Post-UTME Screening, candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the University website at futo.edu.ng.
- Navigate to “Prospective Students” and select “Undergraduate.”
- Click on “2023/2024 POST-UTME/Direct Entry Application.”
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number to generate the Payment Invoice with the Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR).
- Make the required payment at any bank or use your ATM card.
- Return to the Application page, enter your JAMB Registration number again, and complete the form.
- Provide accurate information about your O’Level results.
- Confirm your entries and submit the application.
- Print the acknowledgement slip for reference.
- Await further communication from the University.
Screening Exercise Details:
The 2023/2024 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise will be based on verified JAMB scores and the submission of WAEC/GCE/NECO results on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
- Ensure you provide a valid mobile number and email address for communication purposes.
- O’Level results must be uploaded on the JAMB PORTAL no later than September 30, 2023.
- Failure to register within the specified period will disqualify candidates from the exercise.
- Only candidates who successfully submit their applications online will be considered for admission.
