Scope of the School Programme:

The Pre-Degree School (PDS) at EBSU is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable, and accessible educational programs. The primary focus of the program is to prepare candidates for the Joint Admission and Matriculations Examination (JAMB/UTME) and O’ Level Examinations (SSCE, NECO, etc.) through intensive lectures and tutorials.

1. JAMB/UTME Preparation: Candidates are thoroughly prepared for JAMB/UTME, opening doors to admission into any Nigerian university, including Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
2. Remedial Program: The program serves as a remedial course for candidates gearing up for O’ Level examinations, ensuring they meet the required standards for university admission.
3. JAMB/UTME Admission Quota: Successful Pre-Degree candidates have access to a reserved JAMB/UTME admission quota, provided they achieve the minimum required score and select Ebonyi State University as their first choice.

Admission Requirements:

To be eligible, candidates must have five (5) credits in GCE O’ Level, SSCE, or NECO, at not more than two sittings. Alternatively, candidates who have attempted SSCE or NECO O’ Level examinations are encouraged to apply.

Duration of Programme:

The Pre-Degree Programme is designed for one academic session.

How to Apply:

1. Visit the EBSU website or portal.ebsu.edu.ng.
2. Click on Admission and select Online Application.
3. Choose Pre-Degree School Application Form.
4. Enter your phone number and proceed to generate a payment invoice.
5. Fill in your details, submit, and proceed to any bank for payment through the Remita platform.
6. Revisit the website, log in, fill the form, and submit, attaching your most recent passport.
7. Print out your acknowledgment slip and await further information from the University.

Commencement and Closing Date:

The sale of admission forms starts immediately and ends on 30th November 2023. Lectures are set to commence on 5th December 2023.
