Originally established as the College of Technology, Owerri in 1978, the institution was later moved to its current location and renamed “The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede” on April 7, 1993. Failure to comply within the stipulated time will result in the forfeiture of admission.

The management of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede warns candidates and the public to beware of fraudsters posing as agents of the polytechnic. Admission into the institution is done directly by the school and JAMB and not through any third party or agent.
Registration Procedure for Newly Admitted Students:
Once admitted, candidates are required to follow the outlined steps for registration, which includes payment of acceptance fee, document upload, screening, payment of school fees, medical screening, and course registration.
