The online registration process is set to span six weeks, commencing from 24th July to 3rd September, 2023. During this period, aspiring candidates are encouraged to seize the chance to register for the program and contribute to the noble cause of upholding peace and justice.
To be eligible for admission into the Nigeria Police Academy, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess a National Identity Number (NIN).
Obtain a JAMB result for the year 2023 with a minimum score of 180, having selected Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil as the first choice in the JAMB form.
Hold a minimum of 6 credits in no more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO or its equivalent, including credits in English and Mathematics.
Be aged between 17 and 21 years by 31st October, 2023.
Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, with a height not less than 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females.
Possess not less than 86cm (34 inches) expanded chest measurement (for males only).
Not be married or pregnant at the time of admission.
Have a valid email address and phone number.
Ensure that SSCE (WAEC/NECO) Statements of Results or certificates are from 2019 onwards.
The application process is entirely virtual. Interested candidates who meet the outlined criteria are advised to visit the official Academy website: https://admission.polac.edu.ng/, where they can generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code. This code will be used to make a non-refundable payment of Three Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N3,500) through any commercial bank branch in Nigeria.
Upon successful payment, applicants will gain access to an online form, which they are required to complete. Scanned copies of their SSCE results, birth certificates, and state of origin certificates should be uploaded. The next step involves printing out the completed online forms and guarantor forms, which must be filled and submitted during the physical screening at the Nigeria Police Academy.
The physical screening exercise will be automated and held at the Academy on a date communicated in due course. Successful candidates will proceed to a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by an Automated Medical Screening Exercise, and an Automated Interview/Selection Exercise for the final selection of candidates.
Those who successfully navigate these stages will undergo a comprehensive 5-year academic and police training program, culminating in the award of a Bachelor’s Degree and commissioning into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II.
