COOU Post-UTME Screening form for 2023/2024 session

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is excited to invite eligible candidates who selected the institution as their First Choice in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to participate in the upcoming Post-UTME screening exercise. Important Dates and Eligibility Criteria:

The online registration process kicks off on Tuesday, 1st August 2023, and the University Portal will remain open until one week after the release of the 2023 NECO results. To be eligible, candidates must have scored 140 for Faculties of Education and Agriculture, and 150 for other courses. However, candidates aiming for Law, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences should have a minimum score of 200.

Registration Process:

A. Payment of Processing Fee:

Eligible candidates are required to pay a processing fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, through the REMITA platform at any Commercial Bank.

B. Online Registration:

1. Visit portal.coou.edu.ng
2. Click on “Prospective Students”
3. Select ‘Generate 2023/2024 PUTME Invoice’
4. Enter JAMB Registration Number
5. Click on ‘Sign in to generate an invoice.
6. Proceed to any bank for payment or pay using your ATM Card.
7. Return to the portal
8. Re-enter JAMB Registration Number, Click on ‘Apply Here’
9. Complete the Date of Birth and all other blank fields.
10. Upload your O’level Result(s) to JAMB CAPS, using CBT centres, not ordinary business centres.
11. Upload the following (Ensure that their sizes are not above 50KB):
    • Jamb Result Slip
    • O’level 1
    • O’level 2 (for those with two Certificates)
12. Review the Summary Page and check that all details entered are correct
13. Check the CONFIRMATION BOX below
14. Click SUBMIT
15. Print Acknowledgement Slip

C. Direct Entry Candidates:

Direct Entry Candidates for 2023/2024 who made Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University their first choice institution should also register for the screening using the drop-down on the prospective student panel (2023/2024 direct entry application).
