Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, formerly known as Anambra State University (ANSU), is inviting qualified candidates to apply for its 2023/2024 academic session Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise. The university, located in Uli, Anambra State, was established in 2000 and operates on a 2-Campus structure.
Application Details:
- The online Screening Form/Registration will be available from Tuesday, 1st August 2023.
- The general UTME cut-off mark for the 2023/2024 academic session is 150, but some courses may have higher requirements. The detailed list of COOU Departmental cut-off marks can be found [here](link to the cut-off marks page).
Application Fee:
- The application fee for the Post UTME/DE is N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only. Payment should be made through the ADMISSION PORTAL, with additional bank charges.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must:
- Choose Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University as their First Choice during the Post-UTME and Direct Entry Registration.
- Have a minimum UTME score of 150.
- Obtain the required O’level credits for their chosen programs as specified in the JAMB Brochure.
- Be at least 16 years of age.
Candidates who did not initially select COOU as their choice but wish to study at the university should effect a change through the JAMB website.
Application Procedure:
- Visit the [COOU Admission Portal](application portal link).
- Click on “Prospective Students” and select “Generate 2023/2024 PUTME Invoice.”
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click “Sign in to generate invoice.”
- Make the payment at any bank or pay using your ATM card.
- Return to the portal, re-enter your JAMB Registration Number, and click on ‘Apply Here.’
- Complete the required information and upload your O’level Result(s) to JAMB CAPS.
- Upload the Birth Certificate, JAMB Result Slip, and other necessary documents.
- Review the summary page, check for accuracy, and click “SUBMIT.”
- Print the acknowledgment slip.
Direct Entry Candidates:
Direct Entry candidates for the 2023/2024 session should register for the screening using the drop-down on the prospective student panel (2023/2024 direct entry application).
Application Closing Date:
The University Portal will remain open until one week after the release of the 2023 NECO results. Candidates are advised to provide accurate information as any false details will lead to disqualification.
Screening Exercise:
Candidates will be notified of the screening exercise results online as soon as the admission process is completed.
