About The School
The University of Ibadan (UI) is a public research institution based in Ibadan, Nigeria. The university was previously a College of the University of London. The college was founded in 1948 as University College Ibadan, one of several colleges within the University of London.It established an independent university in 1962 and is Nigeria’s oldest degree-awarding institution. The University of Ibadan’s graduate network has helped to advance Nigeria’s political, industrial, economic, and cultural growth.
University of Ibadan UI School Fees
The University of Ibadan UI school fees is N33,000 for returning students and N50,000 for new students (freshers). The Fees are the same for returning students of all department including Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy, Law and the rest of the courses.
University of Ibadan UI Admission Requirements
To be admitted to University of Ibadan UI, prospective students must meet specific entrance standards.
Undergraduate Admissions Requirements:
- O’level Results: Prospective students must have at least five credit passes in the required courses, including Mathematics and English Language, from no more than two sittings of WAEC, NECO, or GCE.
- JAMB UTME: Prospective students must take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and achieve the minimal UTME cut-off mark established by JAMB, which is often 180 or 200 depending on the program.
- Prospective students must also take the university’s post-UTME screening exam and achieve the required score to be considered for admission.
- Direct Entry: Candidates seeking admission to the university through the Direct Entry program must have at least Upper Credit or comparable qualifications in relevant disciplines from accredited institutions.
Postgraduate Admissions Requirements:
- O’level Results: Prospective students must have at least five credit passes in the required courses, including Mathematics and English Language, from no more than two sittings of WAEC, NECO, or GCE.
- First Degree: Prospective postgraduate students must have a first degree from a recognized university in a relevant field of study with at least a Second Class Lower Division.
- Transcript: Prospective postgraduate students must submit official transcripts from prior universities.
- Entrance Examination:: Prospective postgraduate students must take and pass the university’s postgraduate admission exam
University of Ibadan UI Hostel Accommodation
The University of Ibadan UI, hostel fees for New/Fresh students is N60,000 while the returning students are to pay the sum of N45,000. The occupants of Alexander Brown Halls(ABH) are to pay N60,000.
