Admission Requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Candidates must possess five credit passes, including English and Mathematics, and other relevant subjects at the O’ Level.
- For Master’s Degree or Postgraduate Diploma, a good (First or second class) Honours Degree from UNIJOS or other recognized universities is required. The degree must be in a discipline relevant to the desired program.
For M.Phil/Ph.D Programmes:
- Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline.
- M.Phil/Ph.D candidates should have a Cumulative Score Average (CSA) of 60% and above in the final assessment result for the Master’s Degree and 60% and above in the Research Project.
- M.Phil/Ph.D candidates will initially register for M.Phil and may be upgraded to Ph.D registration based on satisfactory performance.
Additional Requirements:
- Degree result transcripts are mandatory for all admissions.
- All advertised programs will run on a full-time basis.

How to Apply for UNIJOS Postgraduate Admission:
Step 1: Create an Account
- Visit portal.unijos.edu.ng.
- Click on “FORMS APPLICATION.”
- Select “Masters Programme.”
- Fill in the Account Registration Form and click “Register.”
- Activate your account through the link sent to your email.
Step 2: Pay Application Form Charge
- Log in to your account.
- Click on “Application Charge” and then “Pay Application Charges.”
- Select your preferred payment option and provide the required details.
- Follow the prompts until payment is successful.
- Print the receipt upon successful payment.
Step 3: Fill in the Application Form
- Log in to your account.
- Click on “My Profile.”
- Click on “Add/Edit Bio-Data” and complete the online application form.
- Ensure all tabs (bio-data, result, sponsor, next of kin, passport, and signature upload) are correctly filled.
- Click “Submit” when all tabs are completed. A form will be generated for you; print and keep it for future reference.
Important Notes:
- Sales of application forms close on 31st December 2019.
- Use a valid and functional email address and phone number for all correspondences.
- Referees forms are sent electronically, so provide valid and functional email addresses and phone numbers for referees.
- Corrections or changes after completing the application form may attract a fee, so ensure accurate and careful completion.
