• Opening Date: Wednesday, 26th July 2023
• Closing Date: Friday, 22nd September 2023

Admission Requirements:

1. Academic Requirements:

SSCE/ND Requirements: A. Nautical Science:

• Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) with at least five credit passes, including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Geography, and another related science subject.
• National Diploma in Nautical Science with a CGPA of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit).
• Minimum one-year post-ND Industrial Training (IT) or one-year work experience for pass holders.

B. Marine Engineering:

• SSCE with five credit passes, including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and another related science subject.
• National Diploma in Marine Engineering with a CGPA of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit).
• Minimum one-year post-ND Industrial Training (IT) or one-year work experience for pass holders.

C. Maritime Transport and Business Management:

• SSCE with five credit passes, including Mathematics, English Language, Economics, and any two of Geography, Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting, or Business Management.
• National Diploma in Maritime Transport and Business Studies with a CGPA of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit).
• Minimum one-year post-ND Industrial Training (IT) or one-year work experience for pass holders.

2. Academy Transcript:

• Academic transcripts from other institutions must reach the Office of the Coordinator Academic Affairs before the application portal closes.

3. Physical and Medical Fitness:

• Shortlisted candidates will undergo physical and medical screening.
• Download Medical Examination Form (Form M) from the application portal and undergo specified medical tests.
• Medical tests must be conducted between 26th July 2023 and 22nd September 2023.

Application Procedure:

1. Visit www.maritimeacademy.gov.ng.
2. Click on “Admission – HND/ND Registration Portal.”
3. Create an account and log in using your credentials.
4. Generate RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference).
5. Make payment at the bank or pay online via the Remita Payment Platform.
6. Return to the Academy Portal to complete your registration.

Important Information:

• Commencement/Closing Dates: Application portal opens on 26th July 2023 and closes on 22nd September 2023.
• Application Fee: N20,000.00 via Remita.
