Job Title: Bank Reconciliation Officer
Location: Lagos

Job Description
- Reconcile accounts that fall into receivable records with the sales invoices
- Reconciling payments to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions
- General ledger reconciliations
- Account reconciliations such as bank statements
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports
- Reconcile and process transactions that are complex in nature (use of ERP systems)
- Follows up all transactions continuously and provide updates to the management
- Adhere to corporate standards and procedures in all reconciliation activities
- Improve personal skill set regarding software proficiency, financial analysis and data processing
- Reconcile discrepancies in different accounts
- Perform all other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or any related Degree
- 1+ years of relevant experience with knowledge of commercial credit risk strategies
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, required
- Superior communication, organization and presentation skills desired
- Experience with and in the use of IFRS.
Job Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and comfort with evaluating financial statements and business models across a range of industries
- Must have excellent quantitative and analytical skills, along with the ability to apply those skills across a variety of business processes
- Possess a working knowledge of consumer credit risk management and sound market and industry knowledge
- Have an understanding of the key drivers of consumer loan/credit
- card financials and the underlying consumer behaviors that drive those financials

- Ability to work with minimum supervision and function in multicultural and multidisciplinary environment
