Attention to all candidates who participated in the Edo State University (EDSU) 2023/2024 admission screening exercise! The moment you’ve been eagerly waiting for has arrived – the release of the admission list. Edo State University, Uzairue, officially accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) as Nigeria’s 41st state university on March 23, 2016, has announced the names of successful UTME and Direct Entry candidates offered provisional admission into its Degree Programmes for the upcoming 2023/2024 academic session.
Checking Your EDSU Admission Status
The list of admitted candidates is now available on both the school portal and JAMB Caps Portal. Follow the steps below to verify your admission status:
How To Check EDSU Admission List Online Via School Portal/Website
- Visit the Edo State University Uzairue admission portal here.
- Input your email address and password in the provided columns.
- Click the submit button to access your admission status.

How To Check EDSU Admission List On JAMB Caps Login Portal
- Go to the JAMB E-Facility portal at jamb.gov.ng/efacility/.
- Log in to your JAMB profile using your username and password.
- Scroll down and click on the ‘Check Admission Status’ tab.
- Select your exam year and enter your registration number.
- Click on ‘Check Admission Status’ to access your EDSU admission status.
Upon checking, you might find that you are either admitted, in progress, or not yet admitted.
For Admitted Candidates:
Successfully admitted candidates are advised to:
- Log in to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and accept the admission.
- Print their JAMB admission letter after accepting the admission.
- Upload their O-Level result(s) on the JAMB Portal at the nearest JAMB Office or accredited CBT Centre immediately if not done during registration.
- Print their original JAMB result slip with a passport photograph affixed to it.
- If the program offered differs from the initial application, change the course on the JAMB portal immediately.
Admission in Progress?
This status indicates that you’ve been recommended for admission and are currently undergoing processing. Keep checking for updates, as the notification may change to congratulations once processing is complete.
Not Yet Admitted?
If you see this response, it means you are still awaiting consideration. Follow these instructions:
- Log into JAMB CAPS to verify your O’level result upload.
- Check if you’ve been recommended for transfer to another program.
- Candidates with awaiting results should upload them on the JAMB and school portals respectively.
