About The School
The University of Jos, founded in 1975, today educates over 40,000 students and is based in the Nigerian city of Jos. The institution was founded as a campus of the university of Ibadan in 1971, and it was not until 1975 that the military government announced the establishment of additional universities, which led to the formation of the University of Jos.
University of Jos UNIJOS School Fees
UNIJOS school fees for new/fresh students is N140,000 , the returning students N110,000 , while the returning international students are to pay N610,000 , while the new international students are to pay N640,000
University Of JOS UNIJOS Admission Requirements
To be admitted to University of Jos UNIJOS, prospective students must meet specific entrance standards.
Undergraduate Admissions Requirements:
- O’level Results: Prospective students must have at least five credit passes in the required courses, including Mathematics and English Language, from no more than two sittings of WAEC, NECO, or GCE.
- JAMB UTME: Prospective students must take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and achieve the minimal UTME cut-off mark established by JAMB, which is often 180 or 200 depending on the program.
- Prospective students must also take the university’s post-UTME screening exam and achieve the required score to be considered for admission.
- Direct Entry: Candidates seeking admission to the university through the Direct Entry program must have at least Upper Credit or comparable qualifications in relevant disciplines from accredited institutions.
Postgraduate Admissions Requirements:
- O’level Results: Prospective students must have at least five credit passes in the required courses, including Mathematics and English Language, from no more than two sittings of WAEC, NECO, or GCE.
- First Degree: Prospective postgraduate students must have a first degree from a recognized university in a relevant field of study with at least a Second Class Lower Division.
- Transcript: Prospective postgraduate students must submit official transcripts from prior universities.
- Entrance Examination:: Prospective postgraduate students must take and pass the university’s postgraduate admission exam
University of Jos UNIJOS Hostel Accommodation
The New and Final year students are been considered, before the 200level , 300level, 400level are been considered, the hostel rooms are conducive . Though the hostel fees varies depending on the hostel.
The hostel fees ranges from N30,500 – N60,500
