Eligibility Criteria
First Choice Institution: Candidates must have selected the University of Ibadan as their first choice in the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have scored at least 200.
Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 16 years old by the time of admission. Candidates younger than 16 will need to defer their admission by a year.
O’Level Requirements:
- College of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy: Candidates must have five credits in one sitting in relevant O’Level subjects.
- Other Programmes: Candidates presenting two O’Level results must have at least six credits in relevant subjects.
Accepted Qualifications for Direct Entry: UI accepts WAEC, NECO, Cambridge Advanced Level, NCE, OND, HND, and Degree certificates from recognized institutions. Note that IJMB and JUPEB are not accepted.
Registration Process
Portal Access: Candidates are required to log in to the UI Admission Portal using their JAMB Registration Number as the username and their surname as the password.
Payment of Fees:
- Portal Access Fee: ₦3,000
- Screening Fee: ₦2,000

Important Notes
Candidates who will not be 16 years of age at the time of admission will not be cleared for admission until the following session.
Candidates seeking admission to the programmes at the College of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy must possess five credits at one sitting in relevant O’Level subjects.
The University of Ibadan does not accept IJMB and JUPEB but only WAEC, NECO, ICGS, Cambridge Advanced Level, NCE, NRN, OND, HND, and Degree certificates from recognized institutions for Direct Entry admission.
