The Federal University of Calabar is a federal institution in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. It is among Nigeria’s second-generation federal universities.The University of Calabar was a campus of the University of Nigeria until 1975.
University of Calabar UNICAL School Fees
UNICAL school fees varies as follows , The fresh/new students (Science students )pay N61,850 while the Non-Science students pay the sum of N59,850. The Medical and Nursing students pay N63,850 respectively. The returning science students pay N48,350, while the Non-Science students pay the sum of N44,350.The Medical and Nursing students pay N48,350.
University of Calabar UNICAL Admission Requirements
To be admitted to University of Calabar UNICAL , prospective students must meet specific entrance standards.
Undergraduate Admissions Requirements:
- O’level Results: Prospective students must have at least five credit passes in the required courses, including Mathematics and English Language, from no more than two sittings of WAEC, NECO, or GCE.
- JAMB UTME: Prospective students must take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and achieve the minimal UTME cut-off mark established by JAMB, which is often 180 or 200 depending on the program.
- Prospective students must also take the university’s post-UTME screening exam and achieve the required score to be considered for admission.
- Direct Entry: Candidates seeking admission to the university through the Direct Entry program must have at least Upper Credit or comparable qualifications in relevant disciplines from accredited institutions.
Postgraduate Admissions Requirements:
- O’level Results: Prospective students must have at least five credit passes in the required courses, including Mathematics and English Language, from no more than two sittings of WAEC, NECO, or GCE.
- First Degree: Prospective postgraduate students must have a first degree from a recognized university in a relevant field of study with at least a Second Class Lower Division.
- Transcript: Prospective postgraduate students must submit official transcripts from prior universities.
- Entrance Examination:: Prospective postgraduate students must take and pass the university’s postgraduate admission exam
