Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the UNIBEN Post-UTME/DE screening exercise, candidates must:
Have chosen the University of Benin as their first choice institution during the 2025 UTME registration.
Attain a minimum score of 200 in the UTME.
Possess at least five (5) credit passes at the O’Level, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry candidates should have a minimum of Lower Credit in their National Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
Application Procedure
Candidates are to follow the steps below to complete their application:
Visit the official UNIBEN website at www.uniben.edu.
Navigate to the ‘Student Portal’ and select ‘WAEUP Portal’.
Click on ‘Applicants’ and choose ‘UNIBEN Admission Screening 2025/2026’.
Click on ‘Register for Application’ at the top left of the displayed page to proceed.
Enter your Surname exactly as written on the JAMB Registration slip, and your JAMB Registration number. Your ID and Password will be displayed on the browser.
Return to waeup.uniben.edu and click on ‘Login’ (top right of the front page).
Enter your Username (ID) and Password to log in.
Click on ‘Application Record’ and provide all required information.
To make payment, click on ‘Add Online Payment Ticket’ at the bottom of the page, then click ‘Pay with Remita’. You can pay with your ATM card or copy your RRR to pay in any commercial bank.
Preview and read your information to correct mistakes before submitting. Note that no correction of data shall be entertained after the closing date.

Screening Details
The screening exercise will be conducted using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
Candidates are expected to be seated at the venue at least one hour before their scheduled screening time.
