Important Dates:
- Online Registration Period: Monday, 3rd July, 2023 – Monday, 31st July, 2023
Registration Procedure:
- Visit the University website www.uniport.edu.ng and follow the step-by-step registration procedure.
- Input your JAMB Registration Number and confirm pre-loaded JAMB details.
- Generate a Remita Code for payment using your Master, Visa, or Verve Card. Alternatively, print out the Payment Slip and proceed to designated banks (ACCESS BANK PLC, ECOBANK PLC, FIDELITY BANK PLC, FIRST BANK PLC, FCMB, UBA PLC, AND UNIPORT-CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK) to make a payment of N2,000.00 only.
- Obtain a Remita Receipt with an Access Code from the bank teller, confirming the payment.
- Return online, log in with your JAMB Registration Number and the Access Code on the Payment Slip.
- Complete the online form providing information on your name, chosen course, qualifying examinations for Direct Entry, and results obtained.
- Visit the Admissions Office to submit the required documents, including a photocopy of JAMB Slip, Birth Certificate/Age Declaration, O’Level Examination Results (WASSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB), A’Level/Diploma/NCE/JUPEB/IJMB and Degree Results, showing CGPA as applicable.
Alternatively, mail the requested documents by courier to: The Admissions Officer, University of Port Harcourt, Choba, P.M.B. 5323, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Important Notes for Applicants:
- Inconsistency in names may lead to disqualification. Ensure your names on all documents are the same.
- Candidates’ names on O’Level and A’Level Results, JAMB Result Slips, and other registration documents must match.
- Applicants must be sixteen (16) years of age or above by October 2023 to be eligible for admission.
- Apply within the registration period, as the online link for the Application Form will be disabled at MIDNIGHT ON MONDAY, 31ST JULY, 2023.
- Register with valid personal telephone (GSM) numbers and email addresses.
- Registration is entirely online; physical presence on the University Campus is not required.
- Ensure O’Level results are uploaded to the JAMB website as soon as possible.
