The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has officially announced the release of the 2023 May/June examination results. This exciting development was shared by Professor Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe, the Registrar and Chief Executive of NABTEB, in Benin City, Edo State.

- Enrollment and Participation: A total of 54,301 candidates registered for the examinations, conducted in 1,556 centers across all states of the federation and Cote d’Ivoire. Notably, 53,587 candidates, representing 98.69% of total enrollment, sat for the certificate examinations.
- Success Rates: Out of the candidates who took the exams, 39,220 individuals, accounting for 73.19%, scored 5 credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics. Additionally, 49,529 candidates secured 5 credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics, representing an impressive 92.43% success rate.
- Examination Malpractice: Unfortunately, 239 candidates, constituting 0.45% of the total, were involved in examination malpractice. This indicates a slight increase compared to the 2022 in-school examinations, where 300 candidates, or 0.36%, were implicated.
How to Check NABTEB Results:
For candidates eager to access their results, here are the steps to follow:
- Visit the official NABTEB result checking portal: http://eworld.nabtebnigeria.org/.
- Enter your Candidate Identification Number.
- Choose the type of examination.
- Input the 4 digits of your Examination Year.
- Enter the Card Serial Number found on the reverse side of your Scratch card.
- Input the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card.
- Click Submit and patiently wait for the results window to appear.
Email Notification Option:
For added convenience, candidates can receive their results via email by following these steps:
- Follow steps 1-5 as mentioned above.
- Tick the ‘Send Results to E-mail’ box.
- Enter a valid email address.
- Click Submit and await the results window.
SMS Result Checking:
Candidates can also check their results via SMS using the following format:
Send SMS in the format: NABTEB*ExamNo*PIN*ExamType*ExamYear
to the short code 32327.
