The school management of Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano (formerly Northwest University Kano) is excited to announce the commencement of the 2023/2024 academic session Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise. The sale of the online Screening Form/Registration begins on Monday, 14th August, 2023. Interested candidates can apply through the university’s ADMISSION PORTAL. The application fee for the Post UTME/DE is N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only, payable through the ADMISSION PORTAL with additional bank charges.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening, candidates must meet the following general requirements:

1. Candidates must have chosen Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano as their First Choice of institution. Those who didn’t initially select the university but wish to study there should update their choice via the JAMB website.
2. Minimum of five (5) Credit Passes, including English Language and Mathematics in SSCE (or Equivalent) at not more than two sittings as specified in the JAMB Brochure.
3. UTME Candidates must have scored the minimum Cut-off Marks specified for the chosen program.
4. Direct Entry Candidates must possess the 2023 Direct Entry (D.E) online Registration Slip and relevant qualifications such as National Diploma (ND), IJMB, NCE, etc.

Application Procedure:

1. Visit the University WEBSITE (www.yumsuk.edu.ng) and click on the “2023 ADMISSION PORTAL.”
2. Click on the Post-UTME or Direct Entry Screening Link to register.
3. Generate a REMITA Payment Invoice from the portal and proceed to any Bank nationwide to make payment of N2,000.00 as the Screening Charges.
4. Return to the Portal to complete the registration and print the Acknowledgment Slip.

Application Deadline:

The deadline for the online submission of the application form is Wednesday, 6th September, 2023. It is crucial to adhere to this deadline as applications submitted after this date will not be considered.

Screening Exercise Details:

The date of the Screening Exercise for both UTME and D.E will be communicated to candidates at a later time. Applicants should come prepared with original and photocopies of their credentials, along with the Acknowledgment Slip for the Screening Exercise on the announced date.
