Benue State University (BSU) extends a warm invitation to prospective students who have selected BSU as their first choice for the upcoming academic year. The Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (PUTME) Registration and Online Screening Exercise are now open for eligible candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates scoring 150 points and above in the UTME (excluding Medicine & Surgery, Law, Nursing, Radiography & Radiation Science, and Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science, which require 220 and above) are eligible. Direct Entry candidates are also welcome. Those who didn’t initially choose BSU but wish to do so can apply for a change of institution through JAMB, provided they meet the specified program thresholds.
Program Considerations
Candidates who applied for Law but scored between 150 and 219 may be considered for admission into other programs in the faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, or Education. Similarly, applicants for Medicine & Surgery, Nursing Science, B.Sc. Radiography, and Radiation Science, and Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science scoring between 150 and 199 may be considered for Anatomy, Physiology, and other allied Sciences’ programs.
Application Process
Verification of Profile Details:
- Visit the BSU website www.bsum.edu.ng and click on the Admissions menu.
- Under Application, click Post UTME/DE and enter your JAMB registration number to verify profile details.
- Once verified, click on the “proceed” link to generate and print the payment reference slip.
Payment Options:
- Candidates can choose from four payment options: Cash payments at banks, Online payments using Mastercard, VISA, and Verve Cards, Payment at ATM terminals, and Quickteller.
- Detailed instructions for each payment option are provided for candidates’ convenience.
Registration:
- After payment, revisit the University website and under Admissions, select “Post UTME/DE” under Applications.
- Enter your UTME registration number and click “Verify” to confirm your details.
- Proceed to log in to your account to complete registration, including uploading relevant credentials for the screening.
- Complete your Biodata and upload required documents (WAEC/NECO/NATEB certificates or statements of results).
- Print two copies of the Acknowledgment Slip.
