Bauchi State University, Gadau (BASUG), has officially released its Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) screening application form for the 2023/2024 academic session. Prospective candidates are invited to apply for admission into various degree programs offered by the university.
Application Period:
- The application portal is now open for interested candidates.
- Deadline for online submission of the application form is Saturday, 31st October 2023.
BASUG Cut-Off Mark:
- The general UTME cut-off mark for the 2023/2024 academic session is 140.
- Some courses may have specific cut-off marks; candidates are advised to check the official BASUG Departmental cut-off marks.
Application Fee:
- The application fee is N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only.
- Payment should be made through the ADMISSION PORTAL, with additional bank charges.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have selected BASUG as their preferred choice during UTME/DE registration.
- UTME candidates must have a minimum score of 140.
- Minimum of five (5) O’ level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Direct Entry candidates require a minimum of 7 points in IJMB or NCE and at least lower credit in ND.
How to Apply:
- Visit the University’s portal at www.basug.edu.ng.
- Click on “New Application” and create an account.
- Make the Post-UTME screening fee payment online or at the bank.
- Fill in the online form with personal details, educational qualifications, and contact information.
- Submit the form online; physical visits to campuses are not required.
- Successful candidates will be notified via the provided email addresses.
Important Notes:
- Candidates awaiting O’level results should clearly indicate “AWAITING RESULT” on the screening form.
- All candidates are advised to upload their O’LEVEL RESULTS onto the JAMB website (CAPS) at the nearest JAMB Office or accredited CBT Centre.
Screening Exercise:
- Successful applicants will undergo a screening exercise.
- Required documents include original credentials, O’ level results, JAMB result/acknowledgment slip, A’ level results, diploma, or IJMB results.
- Indigene letter, certificate of birth/declaration of age, and a copy of the printed post UTME application form are also required.
Conclusion:
- Candidates are reminded to provide accurate information, as false details will lead to disqualification.
